Haze/Fog showing up on several indoor domes (photo)
RickA replied to chipjumper's topic in Security Cameras
I would try the gel packs and leave them up to see if it improves, sometimes with domes if they are in air conditioning they will fog up due to temp changes. Not all of the domes are environmentally sealed and can vary due to temp changes and humidity variations. I would try the dessicant packs and maybe a hair dryer to try to dry them. Hope this helps. -

Looks like moisture fogging the inside of the lens between the lens and the ccd. -
Thanks guys, I thought that was standard on dvrs, playback forward and reverse, I know ours do, the only thing I usually check carefully on most dvrs we test is that they will accurately step both forward and back. If it is set for 7ips then it should be seven steps per second and I have seen a few that cannot do that very well.Learned something new today

Look for domes with IP 66 or IP 67 rating and make sure they have dessicant (gel) packs inside the camera, that will help to keep the moisture from developing on the inside of the dome. Hope this helps. -

Traveling through history is a lot like Scorpion and his 8mm XXX movies, have not found much on the web for this except advertising hype, so have no idea as to how safe this is. On one forum they advise use at own risk. -

What is the best way to mount cameras on my house? (see pic)
RickA replied to jevs's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Use the cat5e or cat 6 with baluns and make your runs in the attic to the eaves, use vandal proof IP67 rated minidomes to mount under the eaves and use external IR if you think you need them. You will have to have opening under the domes into the eaves to run your cable to the baluns but this should all be internal to the attic and not allow any visible showing of the cable or baluns. My company carries a very good minidome for this type of application, but you would have to find a dealer in your area that carries them. I think there should be some of the members on here who have some ideas on the type that would be best for your usage and am sure they will chime in with recommendation's. This should allow you to upgrade at a future date to IP cams if you require them, I do think you will have to raise your camera price to around 200 dollars per camera though to get a good minidome that will do the job and also give the best shots. Hope this helps, -

#1 the three rings on the lens are focus, tele/wide angle, and iris adjustment, so this is not an Auto iris camera. #2 I agree with the rest "It's crap" #3 Several of the cameras carried by dealers on this forum are better and I am sure some of them will post recommendation's
