Hello all,
X-Vision IP kit; the cameras and NVR's. What is it like? Can seem to find little in the way of reviews. I've used analogue SD X-Vision kit in the past and it has proved to be very good whilst being "sensibly" priced!
Looking at the 4MP IP stuff for a relevantly high-end domestic installation. 7/8 cameras + 16 channel NVR (to allow for future expansion).
Many thanks!

Hi all,
Many thanks for your replies.
I've ended up going with Samsung Wisenet III kit for this job, as it has a reputation and I've worked with it before.
However, I'm considering getting some UNV kit out on demo, since it seems to offer a lot for the money and what (little) reviews I have found, seem to suggest its very good.

Hi All,
Have got a contract in the UK to install a high-end large residential IP CCTV system. Am just trying to settle on a brand and one of my suppliers (CCTV Direct) here in the UK stocks UNIVIEW kit. I understand this is very high-end kit and the specs are impressive and fits the bill for the design I have created. However, I cannot seem to find much in the way of user/installer reviews. Anyone used it and can give me a heads up?
Happy New Year to all.
Thanks,
Alex
IP NPR camera recommendations for residential use.

I am looking for recommendations for an IP NPR camera to add to an existing residential system. Camera will need to have good night time vision of 10-12 meters, as the village here has no street lighting. Camera will be mounted up out of reach, so can be either a bullet or dome.
The camera does not need to automatically recognise number plates as such - just be good enough to allow them to be viewed either live or via the recording.
Thanks,
Dan
