  1. Let me preface my post: I know very little about DVR systems. I haven't build one and don't own one (yet). but... I have seen this same issue with computer video cards that are overheating. You can troubleshoot this by opening up the case up and havening a fan blow on the card and see if the issue clears up. A card that is very hot to the touch is also an indication of overheating. A improperly wired cooling fan, a poorly seated heat sink, or a very hot ambient temperature could create this type of problem.

    builsind a Geovision system

Greetings everyone. I've been lurking in the forums here for a bit as I'm planning on building a home DVR system. I've pretty much decided on Geovision (GV650 8 camera). I've already built the system and have it up and running (as a FTP for now). I have 2 questions about Geovision that I can't seem to find an answer to. 1. Can a sensor be set to start recording (other than the built in video sensor settings) 2. My PC that I build has an on-board video (Intel Exterme Graphics 2) that reports 96MB memory(Its an Asrock Model P4i65G). Is this sufficient It has a AGP slot but I'd prefer to use on-board for heat/power reasons. Thanks.
