  1. I found it on the Cynics site, well a H3104 model, but no user manual.

I dont know ... you already tried 000000

Is that the device ID in the DVR configuration?

Maybe try 1111, or 111111 .... or admin for password.

Check the ID in the DVR though to make sure that is correct.

i confirm the dvr id is correct and the password using 1111 or 111111 can't work too...

  2. Like the title said, i havethe DVR and when i'm trying to access the DVR main menu it pop out a screen and asking me to key in the Device ID and Password, it seems like the Device ID is default 000000 but the password i can get it through, i try 1234, 4321, 000000. can't get it work, is that anyone outside using this model as well so you can share it for me? even i remove the battery and put it on again...still no luck.

  3. well i once try a few player you really don't need to do the port forwarding to get the remote viewer to be done, you actually can do it in the DMZ setting. But hopefully you only use that line for remote viewing otherwise you might need to do another setting. But sometime different ISP does blocking some port so you are unble to do remote viewing.

  4. Agree with senior that said you paid for what you get. Anyway, i guess the video that your DVR hold is MPEG4 eh? because i once backup for my customer too, and it took time like you got to watch it the same time you backup, really annoying. Now some of them applying compressions like H264 which is more faster in backup and retrieving, and also can record more. For the situation you facing now i think you can just ask them to get a new H264 player and at the same tiem you get the recent player to backup. So you would lose any data when you doing the back up now. Just my own POV.

  5. Hi there,

recently my customer request an installation on site, after installation found out that the site is not giving an ISP service instead of having an internet service from third party provider. Which they use a telephone jack RJ11 to connect any of our modem and use routing method setting on my modem with "dynamic IP" setting to online. Problem now is that they distribute a public IP for me to go online where my dyndns on modem update will only update the public IP instead of updating the WAN IP they have. Normally when we use normal ISP they will just update the WAN IP and when we use DYNDNS to point back it will just point to the modem port forwarding port on my LAN IP. So it basically i have 3 IP, FIXED WAN IP, Public IP, and my own Static Modem IP. How should i port forwarding it to capture my IP? and so i can forward it to my DVR?

  6. hi there guy,

did you guy have a great forum about alarm discussion? I'm new at alarm field, and will like to get my man and i get to know more details on alarm configuration. On the zone setup and the alarm trigger call out as well. please recommend me some great forum about this, or we can have a sub-categories in CCTV forum here as well? Thanks a lot. I really dummy about alarm, although i heard them said that installing alarm is harder than installing CCTV, for cabling i will admit that alarm need more fastidiousness.

    Thanks.

  7. Just a simple question, have they setup the firewall rules to point a particular port to the device ? I use port 123 here, generally its a vacant port and it also gets it away from port 80.

yes, the port forwarding have been done, it is alright all the way back and now they suddenly cannot view online. i suspect the modem got the problem.

  8. got a call from my customer, since their company is far from us so we will need to know the situation and what should we do when we arrived at their site. This is there problem, they cannot remote viewing online from their headquarter. There is nothing wrong with their modem router as the modem router is 4 ports, and there connected to 1 pc and the DVR. And at first i thought it will be the inernet problem where they can't online but they didn't knew it. But the connected pc can goes online means the internet is okay. So i thought that might be the DVR's LAN port is burned, but again it surprise me. The connected PC on the same modem can view locally to the DVR using the CMS system. That's what they told me after i ask them to troubleshoot for me. And last thing i did on my sites is that i try to ping the DDNS, it seems like the ping is not 100% received, where it is only 75% and sometime 25%. And sometime i can received the ping back for 100% for a few try. I am kinda confused about this, and what my others friends told me is that the problem might be because of the modem router. So i try my luck seek help from the expert here... " title="Applause" />

  9. Hi there, I bought an indoor scanner from online bid, and it took out that it doesn't come with any adapter. So i can't make it work without the adapter present, my fault to not check out the packages lists first. Beore i bought this i had one too and it use an adapter of 24V AC. I just wondering if all the indoor scanner use the same power supply as 24V AC? From the indoor scanner that i have now it stated that 220V/50Hz, can i fit it with 24V AC adapter?

  10. What current (amperage) rating is the power supply?

A line moving up the picture could indicate a ground-loop issue as well.

    1000mA 12V DC

before that, usually i am using it one adapter one IR camera, but this time want to cut cost so i use one adapter on 2 IR camera, with 48pcs IR each. I guess that's the problem. Day time is normal but night time the thick black line coming up horizontal. If ground-loop will it be a problem too in daytime? I just changed my customer adapters from 4 to 8 now, hopefully it will cleared up the problem, let's wait for th night comes...

  11. look like the adaptor is not able to supply sufficient power to the camera with IR "ON" try with bigger adaptor

Thanks Ben, so when the power is not sufficent enough to supply for camera when IR on this situation do happend? I think you are right too, or else it wouldn't be problem only if IR is on. Yeah, more over to add, i use a 12V DC power adapter for 2 pcs of IR camera for power supply, i think i need to change it back to 1pc IR camera for 1 unit 12V DC adapter now.

  12. ....then you might set it so "public port" 81 is forwarded to "private port" 80 at 192.168.0.102.

To access the two systems then, you'd use something like http://paparaaapa.com:80 (or with no port number, 80 is assumed) to view DVR1, and http://paparaaapa.com:81 to access DVR2: the router sees the incoming connection on port 81 and knows to pass it on to the second DVR's IP.

Hi there Soundy, can you rougly tell me what is public port and private port refer too? As i also can't find any of this in a modem.

  13. i think i know what should i do now after briefly thought about what both of the senior said.

My Router modem is 4 ports, tomcctv. I think what should i do now is that i don't need to use 2 DNSs on one router, all i need to do is just use 1 DNS on a router and set different port to forward on the port forward function in router and i will choose which DVRs to be viewed by www.domainname.com:80 for first DVR, and www.domainname.com:81 for the second DVRs. Am i right?Soundy and vin2install? correct me if i'm wrong on it.

    Thanks.
