Hi, I need to buy something to act as a baby monitor. I've been looking at the range of dedicated babycams and am inclined to get a IP camera that we can view through phones/spare ipad rather than something with a dedicated unit. I've read a number of threads here and elsewhere suggesting different cameras - quite a range of views and some of the most useful posts are a bit dated, so wondering if you could provide an updated view. Requirements: - Good clear video, including in low light and with night vision. - Big sensor, less bothered about very (most seem to be 1/3" but are there good 1/2" or even 1"+ options?) - Two way audio. - Ideally: local, on-device recording - Flexible on power arrangements and form-factor but things that MUST be wall/ceiling mounted are probably out due to this needing to be a baby monitor and occasionally moved about. - Cost should ideally be less than the £280/$300 Nest IQ which my partner likes (although I'm less keen about the online streaming requirement it has.) Any suggestions gratefully received. Thanks!
