I was given this DVR by a store manager after he gave up trying to remember the admin password on this DVR.
I'm pretty tech-savvy so I thought I would give it a shot for the fun of it, but it has proven to be a real struggle.
I have tried taking out the CMOS battery. I even left it out for months and forgot about it before returning to it.
It turns out the password is stored in the on-board flash memory.
I have telnet access, but I haven't been able to get in using many generic passwords I found online either through telnet or through the UI.
I pulled out the HDD, but there was nothing of value on it. I even tried reformatting it in-case the password was somehow stored on it. It wasn't.
Attached are the images of the outside of the unit.
