Hello,
I'm looking for a 2.4 GHz wireless video receiver and I've found that there are various models that claim to have a number of channels ranging from 4, 8, 12 or even 16.
How many channels can be used in reality by a 2.4 GHz camera to transmit ?
-
So, we can say that there is no standard for video transmission over wireless, like you have on wireless data networks, because every manufacturer can use different channels.
I was trying to use a video wireless receiver to "scan" for neighbors video cameras, but now I know that this will not give any warranty to find a transmitting device.
-
Can someone please tell me if the 2.4 Ghz wireless camera have defined standard channels for the transmission of video images ?
E.g., I want to know if any standard wireless video receiver can connect to any brand wirelss camera.

I'm looking for an outdoor day/night Poe camera, and so far I've selected the Ubiquiti Unifi Video Camera (720p NON Pro version), for a price of about 120 €.
Some people say that spending a little bit more you can get a 3MP cam with similar specs, but in old forum post I can't find brand or model specified.
Can someone please suggest something on the matter ?

I'm not sure if it's better to have a bigger screen and buy the first or one of the 2.7" TFT LCD
Yes, It is better to have a bigger screen. There is no tester support 5V output power to camera in market. You need to use extra power supply for your camera.
And for tester, please reference: http://www.cctv-supplier.com/products/Wrist-CCTV-Tester-large-screen-clear-picture.html#.VLzKktJWEXU
Thank You for the suggestion, but I've already ordered this device:
It's to use with two rca (male and female) inspection cameras.
-
My final choice is between this model
3.5 inch TFT LCD COLOR MONITOR without recording capability
and those two models
2.7" TFT LCD display with video recording
I'm not sure if it's better to have a bigger screen and buy the first or one of the 2.7" TFT LCD

Can someone please tell me what are the power specification of an RCA video output connector and if they must match power input specification found on video cameras ?
For example: let's suppose the power input of a cam require 12V.
RCA video output connector will receive 12V ?
-
I've found an interesting CCTV Tester model but with 12V power output that is not suitable for my cam that accepts 3.3-5V.
The solution should be to power the cam with an external 3.3-5V Psu and connect the Video RCA only to the tester.
Can someone please tell if this setup is ok or the Video RCA will receive 12V ?
-
Most of these will not record, but this meets your price point easily. Some models linked in my previous post can record videos.
-
If you tote a laptop around you can buy framegrappers for under 50 that way you can save the video to show customer or log what the install looked like when you finishedI already have one of this device, but it lacks portability
-
I post some cheap models I've found:
Any opinion is welcomed.

Hello,
I'm looking for a cheap cctv tester in the 50$ range to use with my inspection snake camera.
This borescope cam has an rca connector and a power input that accepts 3.3-5V.
The cctv tester is mainly intended to have a portable monitor, to power the device and maybe recording capability integrated.
I have seen many devices that meet my requirements, but I'd like some advice.
Thank you.

No one has made some test with the Kt&C camera in question ?
I plan to order it in a few days.

Does the KT&C KPC-S190SWX use an ExView Sony CCD ?
-
KT&C european distributor is none other than Norbain.KT&C cameras are well thought of and they do a fantastic selection of cameras.
Frankly I don't think you would have to look every much further.
I have asked to Norbain, but they doesn't have this brand from their catalog.
Any alternative ?
-
Just look at the warranty each brand offers and that should give you a fair indication of whether its a good brand to carry or not.It seems that Samsung offers 3 years warranty ...
-
That was old Samsungs.
I havent used the new ones yet.
This isn't very reassuring, considering that I'm going to buy the new ones ...
-
take into consideration though they dont make cameras like they used to ..
seems alot of CCTV cameras suck now compared to their older counterparts.
I guess this could be one reason many are moving towards IP.
I think you were saying the contrary on the linked post
-
I assume you are just looking for some good Brands to re-sell.Exactly.
I was wondering if was worthwhile to go for the cheap one, like Cnb, or concentrate on more "famous" brands like Samsung or Panasonic paying more.
Someone here suggested the latter viewtopic.php?f=5&t=26125&p=159594&hilit=samsung+cnb+night#p159594
and I think I will choose this way.

Its best to call the manufacturer and have them put you in contact with a distributorHi SEANHAWG,
this is the next step, now I'm in the process of choosing the right manufacturer.
What do you think of Samsung Cctv ?
Previously I was oriented towards Cnb, but I've seen many people suggesting Samsung for a better price performance ratio.

Hi,
I'm looking for a good cctv manufacturer for a partnership, I will install and resell its products to clients and I want quality products.
Reading some comments on the forum and looking at products catalog, I'm oriented towards Samsung Cctv products.
I hope someone can give some suggestions on the matter.

... and Ktnc didn't reply to my inquiry about european resellers ...
-
I know Ktnc square cameras, but compared to this
they look huge even though specs may be completly different ...
-
... the proof of the pudding is in the eating.Yes, but, none know an alternative manufacturer, just to hear more than a single voice before ordering ....
Max number of channels on a 2.4GHz wireless video receiver

Exactly, I'm talking about RF 2.4 Gig Analog transmission used on video cameras, like the one shown below:
