My knowledge on this is somewhat limited, but I may be able to help a little. You're going to need a couple baluns to push the video over cat 6 (you can use cat 5e but cat 6 will future proof it).
Could you take them into a patch panel so the distance is only 150m away? you can add a powered router to "push" the signal the rest on the way(POE). If you're anywhere near London (I live in Enfield) I could possibly help.

Hello everybody, I've been a lurker on these forums for a while now, and I've found it very useful. However I'm stuck:
I have two EVI-D70p 's Video I've finally got sorted, I've learned s-video has a much cleaner picture. These cameras work off of two control options RS-232C and RS-422 both of which have Visca written above them. I would like to use the RS-422 as it seems more versatile and a system upgrade would only really mean removing cameras and not cables. I have the opportunity of getting a "Samsung SPC-1010 PTZ Control Keyboard". Would this work? it says it is compatible with RS-422 however it doesn't list Visca in its supported protocols. I would like to buy the SONY RM BR300, but I simply haven't got the money.
I'm open to suggestions, I'm a noob at this so please be gentle, I have a crap budget (alas buying older cameras). I'm now in your capable hands
Take care
Kyle

As the title says. I'm about to lose my mind. I've made my own vica cable I'll attach pictures. I cannot get these cameras to respond to any command from the pc I've bought two USB to serial converters and the problem is exactly the same.ive now tried a laptop with xp and still nothing. Is there a controller out there that doesn't cost limbs for these cameras? The camera model is evi-d70p.
Thankyou in advance, forgive any typos or bad granmer I am absolutely ready to throw these things at a wall.
this is what I've modeled it off.
