check the 5v and 12v at the back of your harddisk, I don't think it's a bad connection. Switched power suppy (elco's) is the problem. I don't know the pin-out of the 4p mini din.

I think your extern (5V and 12V) power supply isn't good anymore, one of the voltages are to low, when connected to your DVR. Correct me, if I am wrong

I've got an old AVC770 from a friend, but he lost his power supply. Could someone tell me the pin-out from the 4 pins (SVHS) connector at the rear?? Is it 5V and 12V ??? Thanks Robert, Netherlands

Thanks, I will have a look

You can't use this VGA "look a like" connector. It's a special output connector, the guys from AVTECH use it.

I have an AVC760 DVR, and allso a remote control from an AVC761. My question: is it possible to make/connect an infra red reciever to the main-board?? When I look on the mainboard, they allready made a place for the infra red connector (3.5mm Jack). Is it the same board as the 761?? Anybody allready tested this, or am I the first one who thinks this?? I wonder if the rest of the SMD components are placed on the board allready. This week, I want to try it with (for example) an TSOP-1730 IR reciever. Hope it will work !! I let you know !!! Sorry for my excellent english

just bought the DVR. Excellent quality, when you see the picture, you don't want AVC760/761 anymore !! It's a real MPEG4 with very good D1 recording, and the playback quality and remote view software is much better. The VCR runs on embedded Linux, I now have a beautiful user menu on my 32 inch LCD in our living-room, while the DVR is in another room. I use an IR extender from Marmitek. It has 3 USB connectors, you can connect mouse, extern HDD storage, and keyboard. Thanks for replay's -

Read subject, I 'm using VideoServer E right now, but my question is: Can I use other software (shareware?) to remote view my DVR??
-
I am reading CIF, D1, MPEG4, MJPEG, but what is the difference?? Is D1 the same as Frame 720*480?? Explain please

the 760 is being discounted?? I thought the 760 and the 761 are new models... Quality looks fine to me, I use the 760 now, but I want allso the IR remote

Not possible a lot of components is missing on the mainboard, like resistors and SMD I.C.'s.

I am using an AVC 760 with dutch menu language (downloaded from the site) Can I use this upgrade file allso in my AVC761 ?? Regards, Robert, Netherlands.

Test with a TSOP1730, didn't work... Next test is a TSOP1738. Can anybody post a picture from the AVC761 mainboard. I think on the 760 board, there are some SMD components missing. I want to see the AVC761 board speacialy the place with the 3.5 mm IR jack connector at the back. Robert, Netherlands
