No, as far as I know you can't change the remote software on the networkable DVRs. The Vitek is the same unit as the Nuvico fyi. You might want to check out a couple of other remote sites.

These are dynamic IP setups, note the host name instead of an IP address.

Yeah, Kelly was no where to be found when you needed him. We used to call him Casper the Ghost. He just cruised for years with that line. I think they did the right thing. Thanks for the update.

Matching web server from AV Tech if you want to add remote. As you said the low end DVR is quad only and no motion detection.
-
Discountinued version of the AV Tech. New version link below. Used to also carry the same thing under the Vitek label.

Anyone have experience with this line. Looking for any feedback on them at all good or bad.
-
Definitely an odd request but try running a 24vac transformer into the shield and center conductor of the coax and then see if your ground isolation device will strip it out.

Look for a B/W camera with about 570 lines resolution and a low light ability. Toshiba and GE are good ones to try out. We had a thread going in this section on lowlight cameras so you might want to look it up and see some of the links. I think the header was IR Sensitive Cameras or something like that.

Best bet is to get an auto iris varifocal lens. Here is a link to show you a typical type to consider.

Here is another link to a very good resource to find information.

LOL, I can't spell them either Tom, that's why I just said lamps, but I know the reason is that automatic light control. Find a switch to turn it off if it has one.
-
Try out this link. They don't specify the imager size but I'm pretty sure it would be for a 1/3" camera which is the most common these days.
-
This is fairly typical of cameras with lower end automatic light control systems. See if the camera has a way to turn off the ALC since it is picking up the 60 hz fluctuations of the lamps and is trying to respond to it. Some of the better systems actually slow down the response time to changing light so it will ignore this.
Do you have information on the brand and model number of the camera or is it one of those no name low end cameras?

This is the only one I've found other than the small internal forums like the one on the Dedicated Micro site. Without doubt the quality of the information found on this forum far outclasses anything I've ever seen.
The people on this forum represent a great resource and I for one have learned an amazing amount regarding new subjects like IP cameras, Networking, DVR information etc.
I thank and appreciate all of the participants of this forum.

Levon, is it official now that Kelly Carlberg is no longer the Bosch rep for SoCal? Big changes with Panasonic dropping their local rep, and Bosch dropping theirs. I wonder if this is the trend on big companies.

The Ganz is a dual voltage camera so you can use either power supply.
Sounds like you might have a cable problem. Have you tried hooking up the camera using a different cable?
-
Thanks for the link but I checked the Sanyo site earlier for that model since I remember it being IR sensitive and there was no mention of it on the Sanyo site. I wonder if it has been discontinued.

The lens itself would not be a day/night and the camera is also not a day/night camera. You might need to adjust the lens and also make sure your camera is set properly. Since this is an autoiris lens make sure the camera's automatic light control is set to off. Then make sure the DC/Vid switch is set to DC. There will also be a small adjustment pot to vary the lens opening so try adjusting that. Both products are good quality brands so it is most likely an adjustment problem and not defective equipment.

Anyone know who might be the OEM for the new GANZ 16 camera DVR?
-
Anyone have experience with the new Eco series from DM? Interested in hearing how well it works and also if there are any demo sites to try out.
-
Thanks Rory. I'm passing along the information to my customer. It might be exactly what he needs. Tough to find IR sensitive cameras anymore in a low price range.
-
You have a difficult if not impossible task ahead of you, but give Richardson Electronics a try since they have carried that system a long time ago and maybe someone will have an old manual around. Here is a link for them. Good luck.

Any suggestions on a low cost (that means no Extreme CCTV) b/w camera that would have good spectral response in the 850N range? Has to have proven spectral response for IR. Thanks.

This is the type of line that you will have to sell to major integrators and for govt type jobs where price is secondary. Plus they have a complete line so you can design an entire system around their product. Only a very few companies have that ability. Excellent casino line if you have any in your territory, race tracks, that type of stuff. You are going to be entering the big time here. No more cheeso systems.
