    Acti D51 and E51

def keep us updated on these... and if they are competitive with the dahua cameras in pricing i'd rather do these acti's as the software is much more mature...
  5. i'm looking to get rid of all my analogue cams and just use the 2 Acti's i have and the Dahua Domes... is there a mini NVR setup/system that i can use for a small footprint? I currently have an Aver nano 1008h and can only do 4 IP cameras of 1.3/2.0mp. something small that can handle all IP and audio from the Acti's Build it yourself or just buy something already there that can take the IP cams? And be able to view on a windows/ Mac and iPhone Or should i go All Acti's and use their software on a miniPC? (then same question as above what specs and how small can i go? even if i have to use an external esata Drive as well thanks!
  6. something small that will run acti(with audio) and dahua ip cameras.... also remote clients must run on mac/iPhone/iPad....
  7. since it's a small cafe i'd like to have a few weeks to a month of storage of six to eight 1.3-2mp cameras.. maybe a thin dell with a few huge hard drives. will a regular 8 port linksys handle this? also does bluirus handle the acti audio and record it?
  8. these mini 2mp domes are also Standard M12x0.5 thread ? if so i'll order the same from deal extreme and give them a shot
  9. i'm good for now... any questions i have i'll ask.
  10. i don't feel like digging for old posts or trolling... but i def remember a few OLD threads that people asked what camera cuz the picture looked great and you wouldn't say... or said i'll post it in the dealer section. I'm just recalling from memory not gonna go searching for threads... i'm playing Call of Duty tonight! lol
  11. I'll update top thread with specific/reliable replies.
  12. bullwink... some people have been posting things without specs for a while... ak357 likes to post stuff make us drool and then drops off. Everyone almost expects it from him by now... I'm the kind of person that likes to share info... and if i don't want to share... then i don't bring it up and keep it my secret from the world... but thats me
  13. Do you mean IPC-HDB3200CN? it supports 2.8mm/3.6mm/6mm fixed lens. know of any website that has these available in the USA? any specific specs of these lenses so we can look around?
  14. not sure on your time constraints but ACti is going to release some decent new domes.... not sure on pricing yet... but they say coming soon. i'm thinking i may hold out for these... specs look decent.
  15. do you have a before and after pics of the camera facing that fence and your car?
  16. awesome info bike.. I wonder if anyone has successfully found any lens for the 3200CN mini 2mp dome.
  17. Any intel i5 and better should be good to go! if your gonna start doing IP cameras in the near future this would be a good starting point
  18. I'll prob have time on monday... i'll make a little video showing everyone how do a complete port scan on an ip camera..... for example.. those costco ip cameras.. If you use nmap on them... it will reveal a LOT of information on what ports are open. I just got a dahua 2mp mini dome (wow am i impressed!) so i'll run it on that. Those people that crack iPhones... and other things that use the internet... the first step is to do a complete scan of the box... and you'll see sometimes a port 80 is open.. and then a random 'hidden' port is also open... so then you dig around that other port... and thats where the fun begins
  19. nmap is the master of all free tools all security professionals / hackers / network admins and more use this... i wouldn't use anything else.. not downtalking the link above but nmap is the real deal. there is also a windows version http://nmap.org/download.html i usually use the linux command line for it... but i'll download and install this on my windows box in case anyone wants some tutorials or help on how to scan... (this is how those ip camera tools find the cameras no matter what usually using udp scans)
  20. what? lol i'll play around with my samsung 6000 LED tonight.. i think its compatible dlna i'll check later on.
  21. I wonder if there are any of the live media boxes that can grab these streams? like boxee or the WD live? and all you have to do is have that connected and switch input and connect to stream? i'll google around later tonight.

Anyone have Dahua cameras working with NV5000?

Now trying to get this camera to work with a 1008H mini unit... anyone sucessfully get this to work? i have the onvif and RTSP in my dropdown options.. and have tried every variation i can think of. thanks for any help UPDATE ************************************* Got it working with Max's RTSP settings... so RTSP and the Aver Nano 1008H are working... but it seems like aver is squeezing the picture.... anyway to stop this?
  23. Just wondering when the new Acti cameras are coming out? some say coming soon and any idea on pricing? the new models have a letter and 2 number ID D51 E51 E52 I was thinking on going complete Acti for a small cafe.. should i wait? seems like there is "basic" WDR built into the E51.
