Not true. I just used it on a DS2 with Network and a cd writer. Worked like a charm. Thanks.

we have a customer who is still using vcrs in some locations. I am trying to use a video capture device to convert the video and save as video file to view on a PC. This works fine on DVRs and regular VCRs but its not working on time lapse VCR. i tested my setup on a dvr in my shop. used dazzle capture device,saved video as .mp4. Viewed with apple quicktime.Quicktime willlwt you print image when viewer is paused.worked great but will not work with time lapse vcr.im thinking the choppy picture screws with the capture device.Anyone done this?If so what are you using? The objective is to print out quality stills form VCR. Also having a video clip on PC.

I would like to replace the PIR looking at my front entrance with a functional PIR cam like. I would like to drop the camera wire straight down into my basement to a pc that will record on motion or possibly on alarm. Is there a way i can run the camera on cat 5? I see they make some converters for this.Or should i just run regular siamese?

Also what is a good software program for one cam that i could load on the computer for recording? Thanks in advance.
