Problem with V 7.XX and V 8.xx and JPEG

Recommended Posts

Hello guys.

From any week ago I have tried to connect to GV system with JPG option.

I can see a static picture, when I refresh the mozilla or IE then I take another picture... but not video.

And it´s impossible to move a PTZ Speed Dome.

Of course:

I have tried with several system, with V7.2 and 8.XX

All system works very fine with Multiview and web mode (but my customers want use Linux or mozilla)

All PTZ Speed dome work very fine with multiview an IE in Web selecion.

Any idea??

I'm afraid what your your looking for can only be achieved through Internet explorer. If your clients have a Mac with Intel chip , OS X, they can install Virtual Windows, and then use all the Geo. applications

Verify that it works with another DVR first:

http://webcam.geovision.com.tw

(select Guest Login and Jpeg Image Viewer)

Also what OS and Service Pack are you using?

Note that the Java app can be much slower. So if you have a very slow connection this could make it seem like its not video as well.

Ok since it works on that demo DVR, then that means your browsers java are working fine. This should mean then that the problem is on your DVR side.

Check the quality setting for the Java app on the Webcam server, should be 25% default i think. Maybe lower that and try again. Also check your upload connection.
