How to specify max space usage in NV DVR

I have a NV6000E, and am using their NV DVR software for recording. Is there a way to set a max disk space used parameter in the software; i.e. I only want the DVR to use 200GB max on the hard drive.

 

I know I could do this by creating another partition on the drive, and setting the record folder to that partition, but I thought the software might be able to do it instead.

I believe the software only allows you to set the number of days and not the space used. Personally I think this is annoying. Like you said, the best way is to create a partition or use a seperate hard drive for the recording.
