Windows XP auto logon fails with no monitor

Recommended Posts

I have setup a new windows XP system / GV800 that runs with no monitor. When it reboots it will not perform the auto logon when there is no monitor attached. I found one mention of this being a problem with nvida graphics card. Has anyone else experienced this?

My old system has an ATI card and it works just fine. Once I login via remote desktop everything works fine.

I rebuilt this system with Vista and to my surprise everything is working as expected. It's a little hungry on resources but I have the machine loaded so it works great. Why XP was a problem I don't know.
