sentient digital video recorder

Hi All,

i have just purchased and installed the above with 2 external cameras,(the unit will take 4) i have programmed the recorder to the T function (Timed).

my question is,

should the HDD light be rapidly flashing before the programmed start time?

it comes on 10 to 15 mins after i set it up, if i press the stop record button it goes off for a while then starts the rapid flashing again.

 

i have turned the motion detectors to the OFF position.

i have checked the time settings.
