Acceptable # of "hot pixel" defects in ExVIEW cameras

Recommended Posts

Have bought several low lux board/bullet cameras that use the sony ExVIEW

technology and 80% or more of them have at least one "hot pixel" defect.

This is a pixel block that pegs white on any dark background or in low light.

For an $80 camera, should I be returning these until I get one with no defects?

It doesn't seem like an isolated incident but a theme with the ExVIEW cameras.

What brand were they?

If it doesnt cost you much to return it then I would. Personally I want to know the brand so I dont order it, or at least watch out for it, as I cant send things back from here, not that kind of price anyway.
