Need Two Camera - Placing 20ft high.

Recommended Posts

Looking for two camera that I will be placing under my gutter line one pointing to my backyard (pool) and the other down the driveway. I am uploading you a few picture to see what I have now. Camera are not good for the distance and people are unreconizeable. Also night IR is real weak, very hard to see. Current cameras are China Sony lens 6mm 420 tlv with only 18 LED. Looking to spend 100.00 or less, but don't want that cheap China ****. per camera. Not Pool is approx 25 - 40 feet from camera. Please give me your recommendations on Camera. Thanks.

Please let me know what you think and what I need.

Those don't look too bad, aside from the low resolution. You'd probably be a lot better if you could record at 4CIF or D1 (four times the resolution there).

Other than that, you won't likely find cameras that are any better for under $100. Probably have to go to $200+ to get a significant improvement.

why don't you just change out the lens to an 8mm or higher lens and add infrared illuminators?

Cheap cameras with no IR Cut Filter, hence washed out colors.

If you want something better, look at the CNB line.
