I have recently buy a AVC796A dvr in Germany.

I tried to update the firmware (AVC796A_1020) via web,vieoviewer and usb as well.

I received everytime an UPDATE ERROR.

( wia web the error is : ERROR: Firmware's product name or checksum is error.)

 

everytime this operation corrupt the settings and I must reset the DVR.

 

The files I try to update are :

Never do remote update update should be done using USB only with all cameras off

There is no update for the B Ver. it just came out

And no, the AVC796B isn't a AVC796AD. It's a new hardware revision of the AVC796A and not firmware compatible.
