dino_squirrel 0 Posted August 9, 2010 I see this option available on many camera's, but how does this differ from the detection on a DVR?
rory 0 Posted August 9, 2010 depends on the camera but most just show detection on the camera and has no effect on the DVR motion recording which is based on the video, while some might have a hardwired output to use to connect to the DVR for alarm recording. dino_squirrel 0 Posted August 9, 2010 so basically it's for alarm recording? I'm thinking CNB in specific. Let me see if I grasp this. you set the area of motion, and when that area is affected the camera outputs a signal from the alarm port? Almost allowing anything to be hooked up within the realm of imagination and some relays?
rory 0 Posted August 9, 2010 I dont think the CNB motion detection feature does anything more then show motion on the camera itself. Someone asked about that here before and thats what they said CNB replied with. viewtopic.php?f=5&t=21503&p=128732
