Philips/Bosch divar dvr6e1082????

Anybody work with one of these? I just found updated software and firmware for this unit. I am running 1.12 and control center 1.10 right now and was going to try the 2.36 I just found. The process looks easy enough but the one I have is a philips and software is for a bosch I assume they are the same?

 

any license problems or anything I need to be aware of first I dont want to turn this thing into a paper weight. Its a quality piece I have been using for a few years now.
