Hi folks just signed up looks like the perfect place to get help..

 

Ive got a Dynamic EZH 8

Its sat right next to the router and I want to be able to watch the cameras from an off site router and the Ipad/Iphone can anyone help me im sure this is pretty basic stuff so I apologize up front

Hi,

 

All you need is to configure your router and potentially signup for a dyndns account (I don't know if your isp gave you a static IP or you got a dynamic one). You will need some basic knowledge of how the network works and also the ports of your DVR that need to be forwarded in order to get it all working. For example I configured an apollo dvr recently and it used two ports : 80 and 37777. So read your dvr specification and it should be there. Also I think there was a sticky here around the forum somewhere about port forwarding - also you will find it via google (who is your friend).
