Newbie needs help please for avc 798 reset

Hi all,

 

This is a very interesting site, which I hope I can learn a great deal.

My present problem I have is that I have a AVC 798 and all of a sudden it is asking me for a password for anything i try to do. I'm locked out. I have entered the default 0000 as i have not changed it, but it does not work. No one else has access to it so I know it hasn't been messed with.

I believe I need to do a hard reset, but cannot find any info on how to do it on this model, can anybody HELP Please !!!!!
