Whats with the horrid fonts some sites use?

it looks like parts of the fonts are missing

What .. did they hire a crackhead to develop their site now

Seriously, I figure they are doing it for the few morons that dont realize that they are supposed to view their LCDs in Native Resolution.

Is your browser zooming the display at all? Looks like it's not rendering the fonts properly - not the fault of the font used.

Latest Chrome and Firefox, looks different but still bad in Firefox.

doesnt happen with any other site that I visit, except that one and AVG.

I see now, the morons (sorry but there is no other word for the stupidity) have "optimized" their sites for "clear type" fonts (thats an oxymoron), so it looks like crap when using normal fonts. Great - 1 step forward, 10 steps back
