New Avtech KPD674 owner

Recommended Posts

Guys.

I've just this week replaced my PC/Server solution, with an Avtech KPD674, which I'm quite happy with.

It appears to be functioning correctly, and I can access it remotely.

However, Iphone push notifications would be good.

From what I can make out, this may be possible on later firmware revisions ??

I'm currently on 1012-1003-1007-1002.

Which is the most upto date FW revision, and would it give me the push notifications.

Are there any benefits to updating ?

Regards

Keat

Thanks for the info.

Today, I'm trying to access it remotely via Iphone using EagleEyes.

If I bring up the activity list, and try to play back an activity i get an error message "No Record Data".

I'm assuming that this may be a network timeout rather than no data, as it's been working faultlessly while on my home network.

It's the same whether 3g or Wifi.

Incidentally, live playback is fine.

Any thoughts ?

Thanks in advance.

You should try to playback from DVR menu (find manual or motion records). If it's not working need to check if the hard disk is installed well, and check recording configuration of dvr (if recording is activated).

You can also connect to avtech demosite and try to do playback, you will immediatly understand if your iphone has problem or not

OK. It seems that playback is failing on Web Browser as well as Video Viewer. I'll have to wait until get home.

I don't mind admitting that I'm stumped.

Live view, List view and playback all work OK, on my Iphone when I'm inside my own router.

But only Live View and List View work when I'm outside.

If I attempt to play back and recorded video, it fails.

Are there any ports that I may need to open on the router ?

Guys

I think I may have it working.

Instead of using port80, I'm using port 5555 and it seems to be resolved.

well at least over 3g, so I'll check again tomorrow when on the work wifi.

Hi

I have had the same issue with "no record data!" when attempting to playback on 3G. Works fine on local network. Live view works fine on 3G also.

Tried changing to port 5555 and still no luck... any suggestions?

Thanks

ok... found the issue. While I changed the port on my router and iphone software, I hadn't changed under the network settings on the DVR. Port 5555 does the trick. This should be on the eagle eyes Q&A on the website.
