help connecting Pelco Esprit to Axis 243Q

Recommended Posts

I am new to the CCTV world and currently view cameras at a remote house of mine via an Axis 243Q encoder. I run various bullet cams and it's fairly straight forward. My challenge now is to make my recently acquired Pelco Esprit positioning system to connect. Having never connected a PTZ camera, I have run into what seems like some complications.

So far, I put power to the camera via a Pelco power supply. The light indicating the power is on came on and I hooked up the co-ax cable to my encoder. I get "no image" when I access the camera via Axis web browser template. Also, should the camera make any indication that it's on? Do something besides stay limp? Do I need to do something with the baud rate switches?

I so much appreciate any help out there.

Danny
