Help with Pelco Esprit positioning camera

Recommended Posts

This is my first PTZ camera. All my other cameras are network cameras so I know not how to make a true PTZ work. Does anyone have the know how to hook this up to an Axis 243q encoder?

Do I need to set the Buad switches?

I have it hooked up to the encoder. The power light is on the cameras power supply, so it is getting power, but when I try to view it through the Axis server, it shows and says "no video"

Help, help, help

First make sure your camera is actually emitting video and you cable is working, by hooking it up to a handheld monitor or a different monitor.

On the Blade video server there should be a dip switch box with at least 4 dip switches on it. Turn the switch off (up) for the one that you connected the video to.

Page 25 talks about PTZ's. I hope at least some of this you haven't heard before.

Thank you!

Okay, I have the dip switch correct and still no video image. I do not own a monitor or a handheld device, so I should take it somewhere that I can verify the unit is functioning correctly first. I will do that and reply back. Thanks again.
