Chose my DVR and Cams - please tell me what cables I need.

Recommended Posts

I own a restaurant 800sqft. This is for indoor use.

I have decided to get:

4 x CNB dbm-24vf cameras

1 x Q-SEE DVR

Now what cables do I need to power these cams and connect them to the DVR?

Thanks in advance!

On some of the "kit" systems I see they usually come with 4 x 100ft Siamese power video cables and 4 x 12V power supplies.

What is the diff between the products you posted vs the power video cables and power supplies?

Thanks

Besides the fact you're probably paying for a couple hundred feet of cable you won't actually use... the cables bundled with the "package" systems tend to be pretty low-grade, as are the power supplies (off-the-shelf wall-wart adapters). The power/balun unit I listed not only helps keep everything tidy, it has overload protection on individual channels. Also, pre-wiring with Cat5e allows for easy upgrade to IP cameras later, should you decide to go that way.
