Software for DVR (Shenshiyin SY3016)

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I need a software client, or Active x for Internet Explorer, to view image remotely from this type of DVR.

On DVR (outside and inside) not write any name, but is written some code.

Outside, underneath of cover there is a label that is written:

Power supply: 110V/220V

Type: DJ3016

Inside, on electronic board is written:

SY3016M3

2006.12.13

Only place where the name of manufacturer is written is on screen at boot-up:

"SHENSHIYIN V1.70".

After searching on internet, (firstly on their website, http://www.shiyin.com/) I concluded that this DVR is SHENSHIYIN SY-3016 (appears on their website), but I couldn't find software or solution to view image from this DVR on LAN (I searched on their website and on many other websites).

Those few programs that are on their website either not run or cannot not login (in software) because request user and password (and DVR has no user, only a password). I tried some typical username/password combination, but no success. The software are VS100 and VS200 from their website.

In DVR setup are 2 type of ports: video port and data port. I connected on video port. I suspect that data port is for RS485 control.

I tried to connect to DVR from a laptop (laptop and DVR were in the same LAN of router) from Internet Explorer. First I tried on port 4999 but with no success and then on port 80 also, with no success. In Internet Explorer active x was enabled.

I don't understand why couldn't connect, because http is default on port 80 and would have had to run.

I wrote to the company two emails, but I don't yet received response. I observed that their website was not update from 2010. I just send email to third address and received mailer-daemon response that account does not exists.

If you can give me some information to connect remotely (IE or software) or, in better case, if you worked with this type of DVR, please suggest me a solution.

Thank you,

Iulian.
