steiven 0 Posted November 7, 2012 Dear All, I'm new here. I have just setup exacq vision v5 with 12 SONY camera and it work perfectly. The next challenge stage is how am I integrate with POS? My POS is just a new DELL computer without any RS232 port and only USB for my receipt printer. Any date capture box support RS232 port, Parallel port and USB port connect to my POS (computer base) and RS232 port, Parallel port and USB port for my receipt printer and text overlay to my exacq vision via network traffics? hardwired 0 Posted November 8, 2012 Your first check should be with the POS software manufacturer to see if they've done any integration like this before. If the POS PC is running Windows, see if you can configure a second printer in the POS software, and have that output go to a USB to Serial converter, that input could be connected to the Exacq server. There are other possibilities involving virtual com port communication over TCP/IP that could work, but that would be more complicated.
