gbouten 0 Posted December 21, 2012 I purchase an Apexis outdoor PTZ cam and found out it did not have night vision. I am being told that the IR filter can be removed and then I can use external IR lighting to achive my night vision. Is this correct?
EarlT 0 Posted December 21, 2012 It's likely the IR filter is a coating on the lens, so that might not be an option.
vin2install 0 Posted December 21, 2012 If you remove the IR filter, during daytime when there is sunlight, you will get black and white images.
