installing IR illuminator directly to outside light?

I want to install an IR illuminator outside on my front porch, under the porch light. The IR comes with a 12v plug. How do i go about wiring this directly to the porch light? I'd basically just like to run the wire across the wall, and into the light fixture (since there are no outlets and I'd rather not drill into the interior walls)... just not sure how the conversion works.... thanks
