cam2017 0 Posted March 23, 2014 Hi, I have very little knowledge about this and only set my own up with the help of this forum. A friend has asked me to help them set up theirs for remote viewing to and they know even less than I do but I thought I'd look through my notes and see how it goes. As of now I do not know the make and model of the dvr, I also know my friends ISP changes their IP address regularly so dynamic dns has to be set up...that is the part I'm confused with because I didn't need to do this part with my set up. I thought of using the http://dyn.com/dns/ free trial just incase they pay for it and I can't set it up. At what part does dns need to be set up?
