asecameras 0 Posted April 5, 2014 I have a customer that wants 2 cameras on an electronic gate to watch who enters and exits, the problem is that there is no building near it to run wires to, and they do not want it to be too expensive. The only solution I can think of is to get a DVR lockbox with a fan to put the DVR and power cords into. There is a light pole with a power outlet that works right next to the fence, so we would put it out there and also build a metal/steel lock box to put the lockbox w/fan inside of (to provide protection from rain/theft) I am only worried that it will get way too hot in the summer (Customer is in East Texas) for the DVR to handle inside of the two boxes, even with a fan. Does anyone have any advice or knowledge on this? Or at least advice or knowledge on how to go about this if I am trying to do it the wrong way?
