Can U Idendify this camera ??

Recommended Posts

Hi all, thank you for looking (I'm a newbee to this forum) I have acquired a PTZ cam which was removed working due to upgrade, I have an AVTECH unit which uses RS485 via DB15 pin plug, I have located the pins via the manufactures information... HOWEVER.. The camera is of unknown make and model etc so obviously setting up the dip switches is becoming challenging for me, I'm pretty new to this type of equipment... anyway (just looking for how to post a pic http://www.cctvforum.com/posting.php?mode=post&f=5#) I'll posta pic if I can work out how and hopefully some clever person will recognise the cam and be able to advise me on the set up... its circa 2004 from the label that is there ?

THANK YOU...

OK, I think I've sorted the make and model no. from some info within the cam body, it turns out to be a Lilen PIH-6725PF, however I still cannot get it to function using the settings described in their instructions. It would appear as if to set the protocol to Pelco D or P you have to have the 4 setting switch as on-on-off-off, for Pelco P and the address of ID 01 as on-off-off-off-off-off-off-off on the 8. Umm I've set my AVTECH to protocol = Pelco P and used the address 1 for the cam ID... switched all off and back on to reset and initialise the PTZ Cam, do I have to do the same to the avtech recorder ? still no movement, I've swopped the 485 +/- wires... no resolve.

Any thoughts folks ??
