Motion Detect not working on Hik Vision NVR

Hello.

 

I have a Hik Vision NVR DS-7616NI-SE/P

Firmware - V2.3.7 build 131112

Encoding - V1.0 build 130719

 

Continous Recording works fine, but when I try to set it to record on Motion, it does not do it.

I have tried to set it Via many different ways such as :

 

1. Right Click on main Screen > START RECORDING > Motion Detect Record.

 

2. Menu > Record > Schedule >

Ensure "Enable Schedule" is checked, then set all the Blocks for all days to GREEN for Motion. then Apply.

 

3. Even tried logging into the cameras directly themselves and setting the schedule.

 

Have tried resetting NVR, and also doing a factory setting reset.

 

I have also raised the sensitivity up to about 50% from default being about 0%, however still doesn't seem to be recording, when I put my hand over the camera, an icon doesn't seem to appear on screen and nothing is stored.

What is the firmware version of the camera?

 

I had this problem with Hikvision cameras running 5.1.0

I have had it working so there in nothing fundamentally wrong with the firmware in the NVR.

 

Are you doing configuration via web interface or a client program?

 

In Camera Settings, Motion Detection, for each camera;

Do you have Enable Motion Detection ticked?

Do you have a red square grid showing in Area Settings?

Is the Arming Schedule all blue (period 1 00:00 to 24:00 and copied to week)? Shows green in Camera Settings, Schedule Settings.

Is the relevant channel ticked in Linkage Method?
