IP Cameras System

Recommended Posts

Hello guys, i have a question. I'm trying to fix the problem of one of my customers, the customer already have one 32 CH NVR, with 26 Cameras including 2 PTZ form LTS SECURITY, here the issues is that 8 of the cameras are no showing on the NVR dahua product, their are online because you can see them individually, but it saying that the network is unreachable when i trying to see what the problem is, those 8 cameras were installed after the fact, and they were working before the NVR get an update. I contacted LTS and they told me the cameras needed a firmware update, i told them that i sale those camera wish are ONVIF comparable and they haven't release any update on those for the pass 6 months, they still telling me the customer need to replace the cameras to the same version of Platinum Series. this is one of my problems now the other one is the next .

all the wire that the original installation company use is cat-5 unshielded, you have electrical lines, and you outdoor but going true PVC underground, and also there are 2 POE switches in the building.

Is it ok to use cat-5 unshielded outdoor even if is going true PVC ?

how can I approach this issue with the cameras in the most economic way ?

can anyone help ? thanks.

I'm still a beginner at this, but I just ran a 3000ft run with unshielded UTP for an analog camera and the picture is great. I read somewhere that unshielded is actually preferred for some reason. Do a search of the forums..

thanks for the replay sr. i going to give this customer a quote for an analog system i have been sealing HD-CVI form some time now and maybe some like 1080p and 720p is a good option for him, is not like an IP camera but it will be the solution for him for sure. Any way sr thanks for the replay.
