Audio-Out of CCTV-Micophones (external) over a twisted pair?

Recommended Posts

Hello.

A network cable has 4x2 twisted pairs.

It is possible, to use a twisted-pair of a network cable (Cat...) to transmit the video signal with a passive "balun".

It is possible to use a twisted pair for 12V.

But can i use a twistet pair for a external CCTV microphone?

These microphones with cinch out for the mic signal, and hollow socket/plug for 12V.

Or do I need a special Adapter or "Audio-Balun" (?)?

Or do I have to use a seperate video balun for audio?
