Dahua VTO2000A connection to Grandstream

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I am currently planning for my home's communication and physical security.

I am a hardware integration guy than a software guy (coding).

I hope someone could step up and share their opinion/help on this.

PLAN-A is;

i) To use Grandstream (UCM6102 - this is the IP PBX) for voice communications. Internal calls are all IP while incoming (external) is a single analog trunk. IP PBX box, and voice-only phones are already purchased, I plan to get units with video capability (2x - a multimedia phone [GXV3240]) to catch the video from the outdoor intercom unit.

ii) To use Dahua (VTO2000A) - a video intercom and door access for the main door - and interface it to the Grandstream system.

QUESTION:

1) Has anyone been able to merge these two together?

PLAN-B

If the Dahua VTO2000A is not possible, I am falling back to this unit from 'Beward' (DS06P) which looks very promising since the word "SIP" is explicitly mentioned from the user manual I saw online. Dahua on the other hand (based on my reading) is a little on the gray area when it comes to SIP setup.

PLAN-C

If all else failed. I may just well create a separate channel only for video intercom using all-Dahua (outdoor 1x and indoor units 2x).

Additional Info:

I have also just finished doing some tests on Dahua NVR (this is what I'll be using for CCTV) with their new 4mp with mic, and I am I hoping to catch the AV feed from the outdoor intercom unit and onto the NVR.

Any input is greatly appreciated.

- cheers!
