searchman 0 Posted August 11, 2006 I am installing a new CCTV monitoring system and need to have a camera 2000 ft from the CCTV system. I believe I would need active baluns to transmit color video this distance. Or can I use an active and one passive balun to make this work. I will be connecting to cat5e . rapid 0 Posted August 11, 2006 That's your choice.....depends on manufacturer as companies like NVT and Nitek make various models depending on distance and features.
