Are the Gevision 8 channel 30 fps cards, 30fps per channel?

I was looking at this geovision card

GV-600-8 Geovision 08 Channel 30 FPS DVR Card

 

At first I thought that was 30FPS per channel but then I see they have 60 and 120 FPS cards.

 

I am assuming the FPS is total across all channels?

 

And if I bought a 60 FPS cards I could set one channel two channels to 5 FPS each and 4 to 10 FPS and still be under the 60 FPS?

You are correct, the FPS is the total for all channels available.

For example a 30fps 4 Port card will allow you to record at 7.5fps per camera if you used all four ports and at the lowest resolution of 320x240. Any higher resolution will produce even slower FPS. If you used only one camera you could get 30 fps at the lowest resolution. I believe when you set the FPS per camera it is still assumed to be at 320x240.
