How to recover a bricked Dahua cam?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I have a IPC-PFW8601-A180 panoramic camera (3-lens) that is bricked. I know the hardware is working as it draws power from the switch and red LEDs blink every 4 seconds where the IR strip is.

The camera was initially working fine. During initial setup I pressed the Splicing > Start button (which supposedly adjusts the splicing of the 3 images for a better match). After it was done the camera just displayed garbage.

I tried updating firmware and after that it's bricked, not responding to any pings. Pushing the reset button doesn't do anything.

I know there are some procedures out there that can push a firmware into it using TFTP or serial port etc., so if anyone has any ideas please post.

Thanks
