Hi All,

I have had the above system since 2017 which has worked fine until about three months ago. often and quite randomly, the unit stops recording with the following message, ' Disk 1 warning normal'. after rebooting it usually starts ok until next time. As the system is a few years old i replaced the stock HDD with a WD purple 1tb HDD, This seemed to cure the issue for about a week. I then sought assistance from Swann tech support, who suggested that the power supply is probably failing. After connecting the new supply (still 48v @ 1.5 A) the unit again stopped recording with the same message. I have tried to update the firmware but despite having a known good ethernet connection i get the' checking for updates failed, please check your connections and try again later' . Even when trying the update from Swann from a memory stick manually i get the ' software package error' message.

I would be grateful of any assistance before i bin the NVR : )
