Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The England national team defeated its Iranian counterpart, 6 goals to 2, in the confrontation that brought the two teams together on the grounds of Khalifa International Stadium, on Monday evening, in the first round of the group stage of the 2022 World Cup.
