DVR choice

Recommended Posts

Hi, I am looking to setup a 4 camera CCTV system in my restaurant, but wasn't sure which standalone DVR to choose. The DVR4220TN looks good since it comes with a built in CD-RW drive and is expandable to 2 hard drives (specs below). I was also looking at the products provided by AVerMedia. Specifically the AVerDiGi EB1304 NET, AVerDiGi EB1104 NET, and the AVerDiGi EB1504 MPEG4. I wasn't sure what the difference is between the three AverMedia products. But I was looking to view the cameras over the internet, as well as a user friendly unit. From the reviews it sounds like the EB1304NET is fairly user friendly.

Mainly I will be using the system to monitor the store both day and night, to make sure that nothing funny is going on when I am gone. I am planning to upgrade the system with a 500gb hard drive once I receive it. Right now I planning to spend at least $1,500 for the entire CCTV system. Since I am new to this, I was wondering if you guys have any comments or recommendations?
