Windows server 2003 & workstation

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Just a bit stuck on a networking problem.

I want to watch the camera's using geovisions web service but am unsure of the ip adress to enter.

I know my ip address of the server but if I use that then it will look at the server only and not the computer attached.

Is there anway to do this??

Thanks

Mark

The way computers handle multiple "servers" on the same machine is by the use of Ports. Web traffic defaults to port 80, so just put the IP address into your web browser and you'll be good to go.

I just need to mention that if you are trying to access a server that is behind a firewall, you'll need to enable NAT and set the appropriate port.
