Steptoe 0 Posted May 2, 2007 Hi, Im new to CCTV, use it at home for survelence of a classic car collection and observing endangered parrots in avairies and nesting boxes we breed. Im Running a 4 port GV card with latest software version. I am using duel monitors on XP During the day it is running on a machinein my workshop office, at night I transfer it to a secondary monitor in the lounge (work from home) The 2nd monitor is not veiwable from the PC... Transfering from primary to sec monitor I use DMpos, and restart GV... Shame one cant just drag from one monitor to the other. To get back again, since I cant see the 2nd monitor I kill GV using the cmd MS taskkill found in XP pro from a desktop short cut using this %windir%\system32\taskkill.exe /F /IM gv600.exe /T Run DMpos and restart GV The veiw log I keep on the primary monitor, that works well. What I would like to be able to do is the control buttons across the botton, be able to accees them without changing monitors all the time. That is stopping monitoring , restarting, and configuring stuff. And have messages like , stop monitoring before closing down, to all come up on the primary monitor, with out having to change GV back and forth all the time. So All contol buttons and messages on primary monitor, GV on the sec monitor OR If the sec monitor res is low enough and GV res hi, GV border then spills over onto the R side of the Prim monitor....IF the control panel could be relocated there...that just leaves the "stop monitoring before closing " window to relocate...OR re program so when exiting, it automatically stops monitoring (same with reconfiguration measages) So how does one re configure the GV program to do this? ini? or cfg? files and where?
