Distance to subject is not the reason to select IR. A good low-light camera may do just fine at long range in a well-lit parking lot, for example. IR is generally used as a semi-covert and/or non-obtrusive light source when there is insufficient available light for a particular camera. Best, Christopher

According to the data sheet: "Support static as well as dynamic de-interlacing for smoother graphics" I'm guessing there is an option for static vs dynamic de-interlacing. Did you try setting this option for moving objects? Best, Christopher

I was planning to place an order for one of these. I've been looking for a rackmount hybrid and the price on these is very attractive.
