No problems at all with PSS under Win7 64 bit.

We have them up to 60º. In fact the ones we carry are manufactured up to 90º, same casings, just the leds have a little bit different angles, so the IR will give you a wider angle in exchange for a shorter distance.

Infrared camera? Maybe you changed the lens with one that does not allow through IR...

Monitors are like hard disk drives, the bigger, the better. I say 82" should do it, it will be sharp and clear. With a screen like this CSIs can see murderers reflected on the victim eye.

You choose where the videos are stored, and how the videos are named. The 1001 1011 1006 you are referring to are probably the year and month. I hope you don't expect PSS to magically create folders for you with names like "videos were they stole whatever from us" for each "incident" as you say.

I am looking for PSS software in multilanguage/spanish. I would say I have used before (it might have come with a CD inside Dahua DVR) but on Dahua's web site I only see it available for download in english, does anyone have it around or know where I could get it from?

That is quite a common case for DVRs from Shenzhen, but the motherboard inside might be different. You might have a sticker on the back of the unit, you might have a sticker inside the DVR on top of the motherboard, or it would help more if you turn on the DVR and make a picture on the "information" page of the unit, where you will have the hardware version, firmware, etc.

It is usualy your router that is using port 80, and not your ISP bocking it. Many routers when they receive a connection for port 80 think it is someone trying to access the router web interface, and if the connection comes from the outside of the network they will just ignore it. That said, I never use port 80 for a DVR, I always change it to a port different than the default web port (usually 90).

More than as a joke, I would probably say as a dummy camera; whoever put it there probably expect people to think it is a real and working camera.

Active Webcam is not free, but cherap, and it also works fine with BT878 cards.

I should have asked him if he saw any difference between the way the stand was portrayed on our catalog, and the way he had mounted it. I think I just wouldn't have said anything... if it wasn't that he had told me earlier those stands were junk because they were not fiting ok, because the cameras could not be moved to the sides easily, and so on... so I had to.

Here is a "fun" one. I get a customer who purchased everything to do the installation himself complaining that the stands I have given him are crap; that they do not fit ok, that he can not move the camera sideways, bla bla... That it is a pain in the ass to orient the camera. He says that for mounting it he needs to make extra holes because the ones the stand has do not fit ok. Without knowing what he was doing I say ok, go ahead and make it as long as it is on the stand, not on the camera. When I went to see the install, this is what I found... :facepalm:

I have installed many 7204 units from Hikvision, maybe I can help if you try to explain your question again... I did not understand much of what you said.

Dahua does have 32ch units, I would prefer one 32ch unit than 2 16ch units. I have installed a few times DH-DVR3204LE-U (they probably have better 32ch models), it has 4ch D1 25/30fps and the other 28ch are either CIF 25/30fps or D1 6/7fps.

How is the product? Really 4ch D1 real time, and with decent software at least with GPS informaiton displayed?

RS485 is not needed unless you are going to use PTZ cameras. If you want to use alarm input sensors, you just need the DVR to have alarm inputs, you do not even need alarm outputs. Any DVR that has alarm inputs will have alarm triggered recording. Others will have extra options like sending emails, alarm outputs, uploading to center, etc.

Sorry, but I just could not come out with a better subject... I got a coupe of this posters on CPSE, and after being around here for a while folded in half they do not look like so well. I would like to have a nice one printed on cardboard so I can keep handy for testing cameras myself and maybe showing to some customers, does anyone know where I could download an image/PDF, so I can get it printed here in good quality?
