  1. All HDTVI/HDCVI recorders will record audio over the coaxial cable, no matter what manufacturer they are from. I am also from Europe, you should have no problems with Hikvision and Dahua. I do not know much about TVT other that it is s "small" Shenzhen company, I have never tried their units.
  2. For just one camera, C would be the best spot. With a 2.8mm/90º lens, you will have both doors covered, you will also be seeing the A door.
  3. Yet another case of "I have seen it done on CSI, so it must be doable". You will not get a license plate reading from that camera/those screenshots, sorry.
  4. Hikvision and TVT also support audio over coaxial cable (when using HDTVI). Both HDCVI and HDTVI support it. Of course, you need in both cases a camera with an integrated microphone, if you do not want to be using an external microphone.

    Gaps in recorded Video

How many cameras and at what bitrates? What hard drives are you using? The HDs on the system might not be quick enough to record all the data you are asking it to store.

    video shadow in HD-TVI camera

You need to be using only ONE wire for each signal; one pair TOTAL. Using two wires for + and two wires for - will only make it worse.
  7. Are you using Internet Explorer? If so, run it with admin rights (look for the IE shortcut on the start menu, right clik, choose "run as administrator"). The browser you are using probnably has no write permissions to the folder you are trying to make it download the recordings.

    I/O Hikvision PTZ problem

Try this; on that PTZ you have two alarm inputs, and one alarm output. Make the alarm input 1 trigger the alarm output 1, with a delay of 30 seconds on alarm output 1. And then connect (wire) the alarm output 1 to the alarm input 2, and make alarm input 2 trigger your desired preset/patrol.

    I/O Hikvision PTZ problem

    Then make a patrol.
  10. I just hit the share , like on the first screenshot above, and get a list of all the options I have available for sharing (whatsapp, facebook, gmail, dropbox, owncloud, bluetooth...)

Quick question on Dahua port forwards

Change web port on the Dahua from 80 to 90 so it will not conflict with your other DVR, and forward the following ports: 90 -> 192.168.1.11 90 (TCP and UDP) 554 -> 192.168.1.11 554 (TCP and UDP) 37777 -> 192.168.1.11 37777 (TCP and UDP) 37778 -> 192.168.1.11 37778 (TCP and UDP) And when you want to access the device from internet use: http://whateveryourddnsdomainis:90

    I/O Hikvision PTZ problem

Besides the datasheet, you've got a 109 page manual to read. http://www.hikvision.com/en/Products_accessries_497_i5946.html
  13. That model does not exist for the global market, so there is no english manual. You might just check out one for a similar device, like DS-72xxHGHI-** (not sure if that is the equivalent, I do not know the chinese models).

    verifiation code

Verification code should be on the sticker on the camera and the box. What firmware did the camera com with? That should also be on the sticker on the box. With old cameras that originally came with a non-P2P firmware, when you updated the camera to a firmware that supported P2P you had to do a reset to factory defaults on the camera, and then the verification code became ABCDEF.

iVMS - 4500 App Password Recovery

Then you have NOT forgotten the password for iVMS-4500 app. You have forgotten the password for your recorder, which is a complete different thing.

iVMS - 4500 App Password Recovery

Just uninstall the app, and install it again.
  17. Run Cat6 better than Cat5. Forget about coax, if you want to use HD over coaxial cable, at least use UTP cable witb baluns.
  18. I doubt there is any way to do it from a Mac, can't say for sure since I do not use Mac.
  19. You might (and probably should) get lucky recovering the unit using TFTP. 3.1.4 is the latest firmware. And if you were trying to get emails to work with TLS/Gmail, it won't happen, not even with the latest firmware.
  20. Whatever you can find. I doubt there is still anyone that makes HDSDI DVRs, so you will probably not have much to choose from.
  21. You are correct, you ned an HD-SDI DVR, or you will have to replace the cameras.
  22. Put the analog cameras on 1-2-3-4 and the AHD cameras on 5-6. Some cheap units can only support channel in pairs. That means that if CH3 is analog, CH4 also has to be analog. If CH5 is AHD, CH6 also has to be AHD.
  23. Hikvision's DDNS has servers in Europe and America. You can also just get a paid no-ip account.
